Since before I was born, my mom's side of the family has always had the same Christmas Eve routine- a big, extended family dinner. Because Granny Sue isn't up for something like that, all of her kids and their spouses had a low key dinner at her house and spent the evening with her. So, we decided to go to the family worship service at church and then go out to eat at our favorite restaurant, Sake Blue. The boys did GREAT during the worship service and Luke made it until the last five minutes.
Ready for church
(Caleb wore that red sweater on Christmas Eve when he was 18 months and I had planned on Luke wearing the matching black pants, but they fell off of him! While I think of him as "big," he's our little guy!)
At dinner
I snapped this picture just as the chef made the big flame. Luke wasn't sure about it but loved the rest of the "show!"
Caleb was so happy to be at Sake Blue, sitting at the grill. He surprised me by eating his entire salad, and then over half of his rice and steak!
Luke shared with everyone and had so much fun using the chop sticks. I think he ate his weight in fried rice.
We were so glad that Brianna and her family (that's her sister Rachel) came too. You can see where baby Luke ended up...
Our Family
After dinner we celebrated Christmas with Grandpa Kevin's side of the family.
Luke was NOT happy that Caleb was playing with his new toy.
Luke and the girls- Reese, Morgan, and Hailey
Caleb loved playing with Braedon's new Batman toy.
Luke and Gwen
We got home entirely too late but the boys were troopers and were happy as could be all night. Even though we rushed our normal bedtime routine, we didn't forget to put this out...
