Last week I found Creed and Caleb making guacamole-
yummy! Creed makes the best guacamole, so hopefully
Caleb was taking notes. (It appears as though he was
more interested in the measuring spoons.)

This is GREAT!

That is what Caleb has to say about all these snow days.

Since my Mom & Kevin lost power, (Actually they have
what is called a "brown out." They only have a limited
amount of power, which is going to the fridge & furnace-
not the tvs, playstation, etc.) Paige & Luke have been
staying with us. Caleb loves having his aunt & uncle
around to meet his every need, at the exact moment that
he "needs" it.

Ice Ice Baby

After yesterday's snow storm, Kentucky was hit with
ice and then another round of snow. We are so
fortunate to have our power (and cable!)- it only went
out for about 30 minutes last night, but the constant
sound of trees splitting and branches falling is a
reminder that we are not out of the woods yet.
Because of the number of power outages, JCPS has
cancelled school for the rest of the week, so we will
have two more snow days, or should I say "ice" days!

I'm sure it is 95% sugar and 5% artificial flavors, but he
loved it! Umm, my excuse is that he is teething and the
cold felt good on his gums.

Snow Day

Today's a snow day- Yeah!! Even though I don't work on
Tuesdays, I'm still happy for those teachers out there who
do! Since Daddy is working on a two hour delay today, we
decided to take Caleb out for his first sledding trip. He
actually used the sled that I had when I was little. Normally
it doesn't work too well, but with the ice-covered snow, it
worked great.

Double Jointed??

Since Caleb was born, he has always been very bendy,
as the doctor liked to call it. I still laugh when I think about
how he could turn his foot up, causing it to lay flat on his
shin. Now it seems as though his arms must be double
jointed. When he is upset or angry, he makes a fist, puts
his hands on his hips, rolls his elbows out, and growls.
How he is able to make his arms go into this position, I
will never understand.

Lean on me

Lately Caleb's favorite thing to do is stand at his musical
table. I think he would stand there all day if we would let
him. While he has gotten great at holding his own weight,
he will fall if he lets go. This means that someone's always
right there with him. On this particular occasion, Rhett
thought he should take a turn and be there in case Caleb
needed him for support.

Caleb loved having Cousin Ava push him around in his
car. I appreciated the help! :)

**Today marks a very significant day in Caleb's

life so far...We are so happy to finally say that Caleb

went one WHOLE day without spitting up!

Whoo Hoo, Caleb! Mommy & Daddy (and everyone

who you have thrown up on) are soooo happy and

didn't think we would ever see this day come!!!

I know what you're thinking...Knock on wood.

It's a Fiesta!

Last Saturday we met the Durst family at our favorite
Mexican restaurant, El Toro. It was super fun since Erika
and Ava also met us there. While we did get a few
disapproving glances from other patrons as we pulled
three high chairs up to our table, it all turned out great.
The babies were very well behaved and as always, the
food was amazing.

Getting BIG

It is amazing how much Caleb has grown over the past
month! I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he
LOVES to eat! Last week I finally went through his closet
and took the tags off his 9-12 mo. clothes so I could wash
them, although I figured they would still be a little big...
nope. They fit perfectly!

This past week, Daddy went on a mission trip with a group
from church to Guatemala City. It was actually a 50 and older
couples trip, but that didn't stop Daddy and Grandpa Kevin
from going to help out. While they were there they fixed leaking
roofs, played games with the children, passed out medical
supplies, and told them about Jesus. We are so proud of
Daddy and Grandpa Kevin!!!
