Undecided...

Yesterday we (actually I since Creed was at work) put
Caleb's Exersaucer together. (And let me tell you...it
wasn't easy!) I had high expectations of Caleb loving
it- smiling, laughing, etc. Unfortunately, he is still
undecided on whether or not he likes it. The pictures
explain it all- he was very interested in all the new toys,
but no real excitement yet.

Fridays at Grandmom's

Caleb loves spending Fridays at his Grandmom's
house while Mommy & Daddy are at work. Last
week he got to try out his jumper there for the first
time. Apparently it was a hit!

Ham Days

One thing that Creed has always talked about from his
childhood was going to the annual Country Ham Days
festival in Lebanon. (Creed's Dad grew up in Lebanon
and much of his family still lives there.) So, we decided
that Caleb (& I) should experience Ham Days as well.
Creed enjoyed the country ham breakfast and we all
enjoyed walking around and seeing all that Ham Days
had to offer, which included a hay bale throwing contest!
We are all looking forward to going back next year.

A visit from the Sikuras

When I was at UK, I began to babysit for a family with one
baby boy. We had a great time playing on their farm,
taking trips to California for the races, and just being silly!
And, it was even more exciting when a second baby boy was
added to the mix. I spent so much time at the Sikuras that
I felt like part of the family- and they treated me as so.
Sadly, I graduated and began my teaching career, which
meant that I could no longer spend all my days with the boys.
About this same time, a third baby boy was born- Angie sure
had her hands full then!

Today was a great day because the Sikuras came to visit
and meet Caleb for the first time. We had a great time
playing and the boys, especially Jes, adored Caleb. Thanks
for coming to visit and for all the fun toys and adorable clothes!!

It's a hard life

Neighborhood Pals

Caleb enjoyed an evening stroll with his neighborhood
pal, Barrett. Barrett was born 12 days after Caleb, so
Amanda (Barrett's Mom) and I have lots of talk about!
("Does he do this?"..."Is this normal?"..and so on.)

There must be something in the water in Glenmary East
because Caleb has 4 neighborhood pals within 3 months
of him and another is due in October. I can only imagine
the trouble we are in for in a few years!

Hanging Out

I can't say enough how blessed we are to have Matt, Nikki,
& Madalyn in our lives. Matt & Nikki are such great friends,
and I can't wait to watch Madalyn & Caleb grow up together.

Last night we went over to their house for "Taco Thursday,"
which meant Caleb and Madalyn got to hang out together.
Caleb got to try out Madalyn's Exersaucer (thanks for sharing,
Madalyn) and he loved it. It looks like that will be our next
purchase!

Future Bass Pro

Caleb went on his first trip to the Bass Pro Shops
yesterday. As everyone knows, Creed is counting
down the days until he can take Caleb fishing and
couldn't wait to take him to Bass Pro and show him
the fish. We all had a great time (until it took an hour
to get home due to a wreck on the bridge) and can't
wait to go back.

Since Caleb is doing so well at holding his head up, we
decided it was time to put together the Jumperoo. There
were so many cute pictures that I couldn't decide which ones
to post...which explains why there are so many.




We had to use a pillow under his feet since
his legs don't quite reach the ground yet.
