December (and Christmas!)

Luke played on his school's 3rd grade basketball team this year and he simply had the best season. These sweet boys not only learned SO much about the game of basketball, but also made us so proud with their sportsmanship and the kindness they showed to their opponents.

It was a fun night with the Dursts and Whitworths at Rec Bar!

Last basketball game meant DONUTS!

While Caleb wasn't too keen on me stopping by the 6th grade Christmas party, this guy sure didn't mind!

We sure love Mrs. Chrisman!

Grandma Beth's dad, Garey, passed away at the age of 93. Garey was a wonderful man and even served in World War II. It was the first funeral we had ever been to for someone with full military honors. From the guns to the folding of the flag, it was a very memorable service. 

While we were not happy with the circumstances, it was still great to get to see Uncle Drew!

I simply failed at taking pictures this year...only two on the 23rd, and a total of ZERO on Christmas Eve. :(

New Year's Eve at the cabin

November

November started off fun, as Luke and his best friends celebrated Tey's 9th birthday at Defy.

Then that night Luke and Tey had a sleepover.

Sadly, the following day Luke got sick. We were actually on our way to to school for his basketball game when it hit, so he was bummed to have to miss that.

Playing with baby chicks...Aunt Bri hatched a few eggs in her 3rd grade class so the boys had to check them out.

We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon hiking the creek from the cabin down to the lake.

By the middle of November, it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.

The 27th was a big day for Caleb...

Braces!
Thankfully, he has all of his permanent teeth so this will be his only round and should hopefully be completed within two years...fingers crossed!

We spent Thanksgiving with Creed's family in West Virginia (Oops...I didn't take a single picture!) and then the rest of the long weekend in Virginia at the lake house. It was a low key, relaxing  weekend with lots of laughs and lots of yummy meals!

There was also a lot of football watched that weekend, too. ;)
