Hollywood Studios

**Day Two**

On Saturday we headed out early to Hollywood Studios. It was much less crowded than the Magic Kingdom, and we all really enjoyed the morning and early afternoon there.

Both boys loved the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground and we had fun chasing them around.

One of Caleb's favorites rides from the whole trip was the 3D Star Wars ride. He LOVED it!

While everyone rode Star Wars for a second time, Luke and I waited patiently for the Disney Junior Live on Stage show. (I got really motion sick on Star Wars the first time so I was happy to sit that one out.)

For lunch we ate at Hollywood & Vine with many of the Disney Junior characters.

After lunch we rode a few more rides before heading back to the hotel for naps. At this point the weather was really starting to get colder, but thankfully we were prepared. :)  

The Magic Kingdom

**Day One**

Friday morning we were so excited to see Grandma Beth ("Besf" in Luke language) and PeePaw ("Bee-Baw")! After lots of hugs, we headed out for breakfast! Their pins say "1st Visit".

Waiting for the Disney shuttle bus...we got to know this bus stop very well. ;)

After the shuttle bus, we took a ferry boat over to the Grand Floridian, which was where we were having breakfast. 

We loved the Supercalifragilistic breakfast buffet, complete with Mickey shaped waffles, at 1900 Fare. It was also extra special because of the characters we got to meet...

While Luke wasn't afraid of the characters at all, he got very shy when the pretty girls came along. Caleb, on the other hand, was as happy as could be.

This is it...this is what Caleb had been waiting for...Alice!!! 

Alice is by far, his favorite Disney character, and the main reason we had breakfast there!

Caleb also liked meeting the Mad Hatter, but was disappointed that he didn't meet the rabbit.

After breakfast we took the Monorail, or choo choo as Luke called it, to the Magic Kingdom. Luke loved all the forms of transportation around Disney, and always screamed when we had to get off.

We rode a few more rides in the Magic Kingdom, including Caleb's favorite Toy Story 3 ride. However, it was really, really crowded so we headed back to the hotel for naps.

 A side note...Creed and I thought Caleb would love Space Mountain and he was just tall enough- 44 inches with shoes. Sadly, the ride attendant noticed that it was Caleb's hair that made him tall enough so they wouldn't let him on. Thank goodness! Wow- the whole time Creed and I rode we were screaming to each other that we were horrible parents for even thinking Caleb could/should ride. Ha! (Apparently I don't remember it from when I was a kid!)

**Day One, Continued**

After naps we headed back to the Magic Kingdom for dinner and to ride a few more rides. Thankfully the crowds had died down and by the end of the night, we almost had the place to ourselves.

Notice the boat docked??? If you can't tell, it's the "Admiral Joe Fowler." Pretty cool!

Dumbo was a favorite that night.

From Fantasyland we had a great view of the fireworks over the castle, and even though it was a little loud, the boys really enjoyed the show.

We ran into Chip and Dale at a dance party and Luke had a blast. He would have danced the night away!

Caleb crashed on the bus ride home. I guess that means it was a great day! By the way, at this point, Luke was still going strong! :)

Arriving & Downtown Disney

After getting into Orlando, we took Disney's Magical Express (a giant tour bus) to our hotel. We were SO excited to see this...

The hotel staff gave each of the boys a roll of Mickey stickers. Luke put them everywhere!

 While Luke napped, Caleb and Creed took advantage of the warm weather and went swimming. Caleb loved the water slide, but spent a lot of time in the hot tub.

After Luke woke up, I walked him down to the pool. He was a little unsure of everything.

That night we went over to Downtown Disney. The resort we stayed at was only about 400 yards from Downtown Disney, so it was super convenient!  

Caleb was amazed with the lego creations at the Lego Store. (Um, I was actually pretty amazed too!)

For dinner we ate at T-REX, an awesome and super fun dinosaur-themed restaurant.

There were so many things to look at. We actually sat in an "ocean" room, with giant salt water tanks all around. But, just behind us was the cool dinosaur area. Every 20 minutes there was a "meteor shower" and all the dinos and woolly mammoth would move and roar. Pretty entertaining!

This was Luke's amazed expression that he had most of dinner!

Since PeePaw and Grandma Beth didn't get in until after midnight, the boys were super excited when they went to bed to see them the next morning. They were also super sleepy since they'd been up since 5:30am! Thankfully we all got a great night's sleep and were ready for the Magic Kingdom the next day!

We're Back!

Whew! We had an amazing trip to Disney World, but are so thankful to be back home. I have LOTS of pictures and stories to share, but for now, here is the start of our journey...

We had a 7:20 flight, and while it was early, it was great to be in Florida before noon. Caleb was so excited about getting to Disney AND seeing PeePaw and Grandma Beth.

**Luke's First Flight**

Luke did AWESOME! We actually had to switch planes in Memphis, but he was a trooper and did great. I was SO thankful that we decided to have him in his car seat. And, it only took a total of 5 dum-dum suckers to get this two year old to Orlando without any tears! We read books, ate snacks, looked out the window, played with stickers, and each time that he got restless, I popped a sucker in his mouth. Worked like a charm! (And, I know the other passengers were thankful too!)

Caleb did great on the flights too. He watched a new movie that we downloaded for the trip, played with power rangers, and played games on the Kindle. It's amazing how easy it is to travel with him now!
