LegoLand!!

We took the boys to Legoland a few years ago, and promised them that we would take them back when they were six and eight, so earlier this year, we started planning our trip. We decided to go the first week of May, after spring break but before summer, to avoid the crowds...which turned out to be the perfect time to go! We had an awesome trip- we all had a blast, and everything went really smoothly.

Seeing "TSA PRE" checked on tickets is like winning the lottery for me!

The only real hiccup of the trip was the hour delay we had once we got on the plane. There was some maintenance issue, but thankfully it was only an hour.

The boys had all of their school makeup work, so the hour proved the best time to get lots of it finished!

With the direct flight, we were still at our hotel before noon! We stayed at the Marriott Harbour Lake in Orlando the first night and it was great. There were two pools, which kept the boys happy until bedtime.

Florida blue bird skies proved harsh for our pale Kentucky skin, even with Coppertone 50! We were all four a little crispy.

The next morning we checked out and drove to Winter Haven...

LegoLand!
We dropped off our luggage and then hit up the amusement park.

Our plan for day one was to spend the day at the water park, but we had to admire the Lego cities on the way.

Luke also decided to stop in the Kingdom land and pretend he was jousting. Apparently that is the face he thought he should make the whole time he was riding.

Later we headed back to the hotel to get cleaned up. I can't say enough about how kid-friendly this hotel is. They have thought of everything!

Both boys watched YouTube videos about the hotel, so they were so excited to get to the room. First up- their treasure hunt!

We let Luke pick and he chose to stay in an Adventure Themed room.

That evening the boys had a Lego building lesson, which they loved. They even signed up again the following night.

Then it was story time in the lobby and Caleb was chosen to help tell the story.

When she asked his name, he responded "Gary Wozneak." Yep. I about fell out of my chair laughing. She called him Gary the whole time.

We all got a great night sleep and were ready for another fun day!

The Rest of April

PeePaw sent Caleb a 4-pack of CALEB'S KOLA, which tastes a lot like Coke.

Boys and a bungee cord...thankfully a helmet was also involved.

Marshma and Papa were back less than a week and the boys had already made themselves at home in her spare room watching TV. Based on this picture, I don't know why they like going there so much. ;)

Super Luke

Easter Sunday

with Baylee and Caroline

I thought I could get this great action shot of them running down the steps for their egg hunt. However, there were eggs hidden on the porch so they stopped in their tracks!

When we left the Airbnb in D.C., we mistakenly left "Tigey." Apparently he was wrapped up in our bedding, and thankfully when the cleaning lady did the laundry, she found him and mailed him home. Whew- no more tears!

Creed & I love Eric Church, so when he announced a Cincinnati stop on his tour, we couldn't wait to score tickets. Our hotel was downtown, which was convenient for walking to dinner as well as walking back after the concert.

Eric Church rocked out!
Incredibly, he played for 3 1/2 hours- best concert ever! And while our seats were upper level, we had a great view of the stage!
