When Mom is away...

...the kids will play! Well, actually Creed & Caleb will
play.

Yes, when I came home from work today, this is how
I found them. You see, Caleb loves watching t.v. (I know
that it isn't good for babies to watch t.v. but if it's on, his
eyes are glued to it.) But, the problem is that our t.v. is
mounted above our fire place, which makes it difficult for
him to see unless he is being held in front of it.

Apparently Creed got tired of holding Caleb today and
discovered a way for Caleb to be eye level with the t.v.
You'll see that Caleb is sitting in his Bumbo seat, which
happens to be on his high chair. If you look close enough,
you might even see the WARNING label on the Bumbo,
which reminds you never to put baby in the seat on an
elevated surface (ie.highchair.) Creed did assure me that
he sat in the bar stool next to Caleb the whole time.









I wonder what they will get into next week?!?!!

Tummy Time!

Caleb is finally letting me put him on his tummy to play!
He will actually stay on his tummy and look around for a
few minutes before fussing. He likes to be propped up
on the mini-Boppy best, but he'll also lay on the floor. (He
has even rolled over a few times when I've put him
on the floor.) It is amazing, and somewhat sad, to see how
much he changes each day. We love our sweet boy!

Aunt Dana

Thanks for visiting us today, (Great) Aunt Dana! We
had a great time talking and playing. Come see us
again sometime soon!

Caleb loves playing with his friend, Madalyn! It is
amazing how much they have both grown lately!

Grandparent Love

Caleb was so excited to spend some time with his
grandparents, Papa Joe & KK, this past week.


Caleb can't wait to go fishing with Papa Joe. After
all, it was Papa Joe that taught Daddy to fish!

It looks like Caleb will be spoiled in no time at all.

Labor Day Weekend at the Lake

Caleb had a great time at Cumberland Lake for Labor
Day weekend. The whole family was there- except Daddy,
and we sure missed him! Caleb loved having his aunts,
uncles, cousins, and grandparents around, especially since
they played with him and carried him around all weekend.
(Mommy loved having all the help- 14 extra pairs of hands!)



Caleb was all smiles as we began the 3 hour trip.

Buddies Soon Enough!

While Caleb still ignores Rhett, we know that they will be
buddies soon enough! So far Rhett has been great with
Caleb. Rhett likes to lay down by him, sniff and/or lick
his feet, and simply stare at him. We are also happy that
Rhett hasn't mistaken any of Caleb's toys for his own,
although I'm sure that will change as Caleb gets more toys.

I can't help it...

I know what you are thinking...How could I possibly take
so many pictures of my child??? I can't help it!!! I am one
of those mothers that takes my camera everywhere we go,
trying to capture every moment. I'm just glad that we have
digital cameras now. Otherwise, I'd need to buy stock in
Kodak film.

Splish, Splash

Caleb sure loves his bath time! No matter what kind of mood
he might be in, the bathtub always brings out the best in him.








He has also figured out that he can splash the water
with his hands and feet.

The Bumbo Seat

Since Caleb refuses to lay on his tummy, I decided to
get out the Bumbo seat to help Caleb learn to hold up
his head and strengthen those neck muscles. He really
likes sitting in it and looks around his room the whole
time.
