Busy (But Fun!) Saturday

On Saturday I kept Ava, which meant that Caleb got to play
with his 2 year old cousin (her birthday was Friday!) all day.
As soon as she got there I loaded them up and we went to
TJ Maxx, Target, and stopped by Grandmom's house for a
quick visit.

Ava's expression tells the story. She was not happy about
riding in the cart with Caleb. She didn't want his feet to
touch her, and when he figured this out, his feet were always
touching her!

Ava has the most amazing hair for a toddler and she let me
do whatever I wanted with it. My favorite look were the pig
tails. It's amazing...when you straighten her hair out, it goes
all the way to the middle of her back!!

We were working on holding 2 fingers up. I love how Caleb
is just chillin' in this picture!

After nap time we went outside and played in the sand
box. Even though the wind was a little chilly, they both loved
being outside.

Then it was time for some ball pit action..

Isn't Ava just precious?! Happy Birthday, sweet girl!

Tuesday Mornings

We love Tuesday mornings! Creed doesn't have to work until
noon that day, which means we get to all spend time together.
This past Tuesday we took Caleb to the toddler playground
at McNeely Lake Park, the one I mentioned before that was
so crowded. But, apparently if you go at 9am on Tuesday, you
will have the place to yourself!

Caleb had so much fun walking across the wobbly bridge.
He must have gone back and forth 20 times!

The playground is recommended for ages 2-6, so there are
still a few things Caleb isn't quite big enough to do. He really
wanted to climb the big rock, but was happy to just sit on it
for a while.
**Oh, and if you go when you're the only ones there, it isn't
embarrassing when you (not aged 2-6) have a blast on the
zip line!

In His Element

I was determined to find a park that I thought suited Caleb well,
and this week I finally succeeded. On Monday we tried out the
playground at McNeeley Lake Park- South. It's not the main
playground, but another on the south side of the park. Since it
isn't the "main" park, there was only one other family there! (We
actually went to the main park later on to check out the toddler
playground and while it is larger, it was packed.) Caleb LOVED
it- he was totally in his element, and best of all, we took back
roads the whole way there so traffic wasn't an issue!

Caleb doesn't walk...he runs everywhere he goes!

Two words: NO FEAR

Happiness

Cleaning the mulch off the slide. Did I mention our concerns
about OCD?!! ;)

UK Tie

Our friend Laura sent Caleb the cutest shirt ever. Seriously. Cutest
Ever. It's a white t-shirt with a UK "tie" on it. He wore it last Sunday
as he cheered on the Cats to a win over Florida. Apparently my
camera lovin' babe decided to show that he is still in control and
wouldn't let me take a good picture of him wearing it. Thanks,
Laura! We LOVE it!!!

I said, "Caleb, let me take a picture of you in your new shirt."
This is what he did.

Bath Crayons & OCD

Do you have bath crayons? If not, Caleb says you're missing out!
His cousin Ava gave him some for Christmas and he LOVES
them! Just see for yourself...

"Ra." (Red.)

At this point I noticed my pictures seemed fuzzy (which they
had lately!) and imagine my surprise to find the setting changed
on my camera! Hmmm. Who would have ever done that?!!

If you know Caleb very well, then you know his issues (OCD?!!)
with things needing to be in order. For example, he will probably
check and make sure your vacuum is in your hall closet if he ever
comes to visit. Anyways, part of his new found love with bath
crayons is getting to clean them up when he is finished. After all,
who would leave all those marks on a clean, white tub! Not my
toddler.

Chillin'

When Madalyn came over to play this week, I got out Caleb's
bouncie seat from when he was a baby for Hayden to try. After
they left, I kind of forgot to put it away. Later as I was talking on
the phone, this is how I found Caleb...

Just chillin'! I wish I recorded him because he was bouncing
himself! (I was keeping my fingers crossed that the metal frame
wouldn't snap!)

I had been talking to Angie Sikura (the lady I used to nanny for)
and Caleb decided that he wanted to chat with her too.

He must be telling her how much he LOVES his Preschool Prep
DVDs.

Spring Fever

I am SO SICK of winter. I'm sick of goose bumps. I'm sick of
trying to get Caleb in his car seat while wearing his down coat.
And, I'm seriously sick of L G & E bills.

It was in the upper 40s this past week and I went out without a
coat because it felt so "warm" to me. To say that I simply have
"spring fever" would be an understatement. Caleb and I headed
to Walmart to stock up on bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and
POPSICLES!!!! Now we are really ready for spring!

Madalyn even got in on the action when she came to play on
Monday.

With a weekend forecast in the upper 50s (Gasp!) we may
even have to get the sprinkler out. ;)

Caleb's Friend Madalyn

Caleb's friend Madalyn turned TWO this weekend, and we had so
much fun celebrating with her. Caleb was a perfect angel at the
party (Seriously- Nikki's family kept commenting on how great
his behavior was!!) and we all enjoyed the yummy food, delicious
cake, and wonderful company. It was also so much fun watching
the birthday girl open her presents. I had to laugh...as soon as
we walked in Madalyn greeted us and I showed her the present
we brought for her. Her response- "So, open it!"

Happy Birthday to YOU!

Caleb had fun playing with his friend Jackson.

Opening her present from Caleb

He cracks me up. Everyone's attention was turned to Madalyn
as she opened the presents. I think Caleb thought that if he
perched himself among the presents, he might get some
attention too!

Say Cheese

This is Caleb's new face as you tell him to smile.
