The Whole Package

I can't go on enough about how kid friendly Great Wolf Lodge
is. We really enjoyed all aspects, even though I was a little
worried at first that Caleb might be too young. One part he
really liked was their nightly show in the lobby. The trees and
animals talk and sing songs, and even though it was close to
bedtime, he really enjoyed it.

Watching the show in his pjs.

He also really enjoyed all the food. We had heard that the
food was a little pricey, but everything we ordered was
great!!

No Fear...

That was Caleb's motto at Great Wolf Lodge. He LOVED the
slides more than I've ever seen him love anything. Creed and I
had to take him to the top over and over and over. And, as
soon as we'd catch him at the bottom, he was pointing to the
slide and grunting- his way of telling you he wants something
now.

This picture shows the little kids' slides. There is a yellow and
orange slide for toddlers and blue/green slides for bigger
little kids.

We started him out on the orange and yellow slides.

He had a blast doing down them over and over.

But, after he tried the bigger slides, he was hooked! Even
the life guards were amazed that he would sit up the whole
way down. If only you could see his smile!

See his little head?! He thinks he is such a big shot! And,
notice the pool- this was at about 11 am on Monday. I
can't imagine going any other time.

Splish Splash

You'll notice that we almost have the place to ourselves! Going on
Super Bowl Sunday and the following Monday really paid off. We
didn't have to wait in lines for the slides and never worried about
Caleb getting ran over by bigger kids.

This is my favorite picture from the trip. You can see the
excitement in his face!

Caleb really like this thing, whatever you call it. He climbed
up all the stairs and walked across all the bridges. There is
water spraying from all directions, which made it even more
fun.

Best Idea

Last week Creed had his, by far, best idea yet. He did a little
internet research, and decided that we should take Caleb to
Great Wolf Lodge. They had a winter promotion that was
ending soon, so we took advantage of the awesome prices.
We all three had an amazing time, aside from the fact that
we were so worried about Paige. It is SO family friendly, and
we definitely plan on making many more trips!

Not only is the water park always 84 degrees, but the hotel
also keeps their hallways really warm. It's nice to see snow
on the ground but to be in a swim suit and flip flops!

While waiting on the elevator, Caleb loved looking out the
widow to check out all the fun.

Ready to go!

Paige Update

Today Paige's levels are much better, which means her kidneys
are functioning more. Still not perfect, but better! She was able
to sleep and may get to come home today. One doctor gave the
okay, but we're waiting for another doctor to give the go ahead.
Thanks for all of your prayers!!!

Big Help

Pray for Aunt Paige

Please pray for Caleb's Aunt Paige. She was admitted to the
hospital Sunday and her kidneys were only functioning 1/2 of
what they should. Her labs are slightly better today and we
are hoping that the medicine clears whatever infection she
has. She is still in a lot of pain, but hopefully that will get better
soon!

Homecoming

Friday night was the basketball homecoming at Uncle Luke's
school. We all got to hang out with Luke before the game, and
watch as they took pictures after. It was a very fun evening,
although a lady asked me which one was mine as I was taking
pictures of 15 year olds. Really? I answered in a rather disgusted
tone, "He's mine," and pointed to the 19 month old. But, another
lady mistook me for one of the teenagers, so that kinda made
up for it. :)

Uncle Luke ("Ga") & his biggest fan!

We were cracking up laughing as Luke carried Caleb over
to the group of girls. Caleb worked as good as a puppy!

The gang before the game. Luke's two best friends, Conner
("Ga-Ga") and Ben ("Beh") and their beautiful dates. (Such
a bummer that Conner broke his elbow last week during
practice!)

Looking good after the game

This makes me SO angry. I uploaded this picture maybe 8
times, and every time it came out like this! Errrrr. But, I
wanted so bad to include it so you could see how good
Luke and his date looked. Sorry for the neck pain.

Exhausted

On Thursday morning Creed took Caleb to open gym, and
apparently wore him out. This picture was taken after lunch.
Creed said he simply carried him up to his bed and he
continued sleeping. It's never that easy when I'm home with
him. ;)

All Better (Thank Goodness!)

Caleb is all better and over his...whatever he had. He has
progressively felt better each day, and I think that he is 100%
today. We are so thankful for our healthy little boy!

Taking advantage of the warmer (40s) weather, I let Caleb play
outside for about 10 minutes today. He thought about riding
his 4 wheeler and car, but decided that he should water the
bushes and trees instead. :)

He LOVED running in the snow. He went back and forth in
front of our house probably 10 times.
