March (and Copper Mountain!)

We got the call that Luke's custom painted Nerf gun was ready to pickup from Foam Warriorz and he was thrilled with the results. The black and gold design was exactly what he hand in mind.

The boys got to meet The Stradman when he came to town to pickup his new mid-engine Corvette. He was super nice, talked to the boys, and even let them sit in his new car.

We flew out to Colorado on the evening of the 11th for our last ski trip of the season.

We spent four days at Copper Mountain with Creed's family and had a great time.

Happy 12th birthday, Ava!

The boys skied another black diamond...I stayed on the greens and blues. :)

At the end of day two, Creed hurt his knee so he couldn't come out with us on day three.

We came home from Colorado to a completely different world... schools and churches were cancelled, and it wasn't long before non-essential businesses closed as well due to Covid 19. Because Denver's airport was mayhem and we were exposed to hundreds and hundreds of people, we laid low and didn't come within 6 feet of anyone. (Colorado ski resorts all closed on the day we were scheduled to come home.)

Luke had no problem with the quarantine...

After a week, we headed down to the cabin to hang out there. We took long walks and the boys had fun with Luke's metal detector, digging up "treasure."

On one of our walks the boys played air guitar and drums on the stage in the town square.

It is EASY to quarantine and stay away from people when your're at the cabin. :)

As the stay home orders from the governor continued, we tried to stay in pajamas as much as we could. While the boys worked on school work each morning, the afternoons were spent on walks, playing games, and building Legos.

Zoom meeting with his 3rd grade class

With Creed working remotely half of the week, we headed back to the cabin. And, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching 80, we got the boat in the water!

Two weeks to the day from skiing in Colorado- surfing on Lake Cumberland.

Luke makes social distancing look cool ;)

Creed took a turn, and then greatly regretted it when he knee hurt and swelled back up.

The next day we took the boat out again and the boys tubed in their wet suits!

S'mores!

I have been doing a little grocery shopping for both sets of my grandparents and dropping food off on their porch. The boys don't mind- especially when Grandma includes "A treat for the boys" on her list. :)

We may have had to cancel our spring break trip to South Florida, but a week at home has allowed for a lot of organizing...including sorting massive amounts of mini-figures.

While we don't know what April will hold, we do know that it will continue to be a month of school at home and social distancing.
