Just one more...

We had so much fun at Lake Cumberland that we decided to go back the following weekend. We stayed at Jamestown again and enjoyed every second of it! The weather was perfect- sunny and upper 80s...a great final trip to Cumberland this season.

Creed got stuck at work a little later than planned that Friday so it was dark when we got there. Caleb was my spotter and watched for logs in the water. It was my first time driving the boat after dark but we managed to find out slip and get it docked without an issue.

We love the view from our hotel! Caleb was actually watching Uncle Mark and Aunt Cathy take their houseboat out of State Dock.

Love the quote...

Since we had never been to Beaver Creek Marina, we decided to take a ride there and check out their popsicle selection. Popcicles before noon are always a good decision. ;)

That afternoon we met up with Uncle Mark and Aunt Cathy to spend some time on the houseboat. When we got there it was just 5 houseboats in the cove....two hours later there were 22 other boats tied up. It was a blast! Someone brought a LilyPad and the kids loved it.

Not a bad view!

Dinner at Cumberland Tap

We borrowed a knee board, and the next day the boys tried it out...they loved it! Luke got it his first try, and with such a low center of gravity, he was a natural.

It took Caleb a couple of tries, but after he got the feel for it, he was rocking it out.

He even turned and rode backwards! He really has the "feel" for water sports...Santa may need to bring a wake board!

Caleb was also pretty determined to learn to slalom ski. He got so incredibly close, but just couldn't keep his ski straight at this point. I am pretty certain that he will be up with just more more try.

That afternoon Grandmom and Grandpa actually got to the lake so we met them for lunch before heading home.
Nothing beats a great lake weekend!
