Since returning from the lake earlier this month, we've spent the majority of our time outside. And, with temperatures most days in the mid 90s, we've had a lot of fun with water.
Our church had it's annual Watermelon and Water night and it was SO much fun. They had free food, sprinklers, kiddie pools, dunking booths, and the biggest slip and slides you have ever seen. I can't wait til next year- I'll be in my suit so I can participate too!
We also played one evening on our slip and slide at home. While it wasn't quite as big at the one at church, (ha!) the kids had a blast. And, our yard has almost recovered.
My wonderful mother kept the boys for a while that morning and look what Luke came home with...a lovely lower back tattoo. Thanks, Mom. ;)
We had our neighbors over one evening for a last minute cookout and decided to let the kids play with water balloons after dinner. What started with the kids throwing water balloons ended with buckets of water being thrown by the adults. Not sure how Creed was the only one in trunks..
We met up with friends last week at the sprayground at Long Run Park and had a blast! We were there for a long time and the kids played so hard.
We've spent so many days at the pool this summer, now that both boys love going there. It's the perfect way to beat the heat! We try to get there right when it opens and usually have the pool mostly to ourselves for at least the first hour.
Caleb's version of a cannon ball. ;)
