May

Playing baseball for the first time has been a great experience for Luke. He had a blast playing on the 6th grade team with his best friends, but has also done great playing with the older guys on the middle school team. He has learned so much, and they've all been super encouraging to him. I think it helped that he got hit a few times at the start of the season and proved he was pretty tough. Haha!

May was cool and rainy- not ideal lake time, but we were able to get a few days on the water.

Happy to be done with his last final of freshman year!

April

We spent the first half of spring break at the lake, tackling a few spring projects and getting the house back in order. Creed was able to fish a few days and Lacey was happy to make it back down to the shore.

We also took the boys and some friends to a Bats game.

Happy Easter!

Ready for spirit week at school

On the 13th, Luke had a once in a lifetime opportunity to play baseball at Louisville Slugger Field. It was such a memorable night and the boys all had a blast. Concessions were open, the game was announced over the loud speaker- they got the full experience (and a win!)

Spring fishing success- fish tacos for dinner!

Baseball kept us very busy this spring. Playing on two different school teams meant games and practices four nights a week.

That time he lost his cleat coming around 3rd and scored wearing only a sock.

March

Creed and I met some lake friends down in the Keys for five days and had the best time. We stayed at a (new to us) resort in Marathon and loved all it had to offer, including the five different pools! The weather was perfect, and we had lots of luck fishing. It was a great trip!

Ready for practice

Celebrating Tilly's 2nd birthday

Luke's did fantastic at his (first ever) baseball game and even got two hits!

February

Caleb went to his first homecoming dance with some friends! They had a blast at the dance, followed by a late night meal at Waffle House. It's hard to believe he is that old...

Lacey would spend all day chasing sticks if we would let her!

On February 25th, our baby turned 12 years old.
(Where has the time gone?!!)
Instead of a big party, he opted for a weekend in the Keys with just Mom and Dad. We loved spending time with our Lukey Babe!
We had a Friday evening flight into Miami and then drove down to Marathon. The next morning it was birthday donuts in paradise.

We spent half of Saturday on Sombrero Beach

and then the second half of the day at the hotel pool.
Luke had no problem finding friends to play with.

Birthday dinner at Lazy Days South

It was at this point where he decided his eyes were bigger than his stomach!

Sunday we hung around the pool until mid-afternoon

and then headed back towards Miami that late afternoon. We had dinner at one of our favorite places in Key Largo before heading to the airport.

We love you, Luke, and loved making memories with you on your birthday weekend!
