May

We LOVE our time with baby Tilly.

My beautiful Mother's Day flowers. :)

The majority of May was unseasonably cold so the boys spent a lot of time on the bass boat fishing.

More time with Tilly

The pool opened early this year, and while the water is still cold, the boys had fun.

While we put the wake boat in the water early May, we quickly learned that a trim tab wasn't working so Creed had to take it back to Somerset for service. After getting it back, we put it in one evening for a quick run and thankfully, everything was working.

Finally, on the 23rd of May, we had our first lake day of the summer.

Lacey tagged along for the first half of the day and wasn't a fan. Haha

While we don't take the boys to 76 Falls during busy times, we took advantage of a calm Thursday and got some great pictures.

Evenings at the cabin usually include some type of dessert at Grandmom and Grandpa's, catching frogs, and looking for snakes.

We renewed our SomerSplash pass on Memorial Day and look forward to many afternoons spent in the wave pool and racing down the slides!

April and Spring Break

We spent spring break in High Point with PeePaw and Grandma Beth and had a great week. We played outside a lot, went zip lining, and just enjoyed our time together.

After putting the lake house on the market to see if it would sell, PeePaw and Grandma Beth had it under contract in just three days. The lake house is one of our family's very favorite places and it holds simply the best memories imaginable. While we understand their reasons for selling, we are still sad to see it go. On our way home, we stopped and stayed there one last time.

Like he has done since he was a tiny toddler, Luke's first lake house stop was the living room to play with Uncle Matt and Uncle Drew's old toys.

The boys warmed up in the hot tub and then did one last high dock jump and polar plunge.

I found an old 4th of July hat in the boat house and wore it for old times sake.

Before we tearfully drove off, both boys spent some time down by the lake.

Learning to surf, fish frys, 4th of July fireworks, finding out we were expecting Luke, Thanksgiving oyster roasts...I could go on and on listing the best memories of our time at Claytor.

Oh, how we will miss this view...

The drive home was something...Luke rode with a surf board above his head and the boys were separated with a ski.

The yellow lake house quilt now sits on the guest bed at the cabin

and the quilts from the bunk beds are now in the loft for the boys to use.

Easter morning

Creed made a quick, 24 hour trip, out to Colorado to get in one last day of skiing this year.

Nothing beats breakfast on the Blackstone.
