Recently...

It's hard to believe that we are two weeks into summer already. Time is flying by, and we are trying to make the most of it!

Kindergarten Graduation

Last Thursday, May 29th, Caleb had his kindergarten graduation. It was a perfect ceremony! They sang lots of cute songs representing different concepts they learned throughout the year and each student had some type of part for the program. (All this and it lasted just under an hour- perfect for little brother's attention span!)

(She is just the sweetest little girl you have ever met and we are so thankful for her friendship! Her mother and I joked that we are hoping for a future prom picture similar to this a few years down the road- ha!)

Caleb's Last Day of School

Last Thursday, May 29th, Caleb had his last day of kindergarten. It's so hard to believe, and boy, the time sure did fly by. 

We are truly amazed at everything this young man learned over the year, and are so proud of his accomplishments. We are thankful for the loving and supportive learning environment that he thrived in, as well as his nurturing teacher that seemed to have a song for everything she taught. We are thankful for all the new, sweet friends he made this year, as well as the relationships that have continued since he started preschool as a two year old. We are thankful that every single morning this guy was happy to get up and go to school and that he made it through the year healthy as could be. And, we are especially thankful that his day ended at noon so we could still have the afternoon with him, as we know this will have to change next year.

Way to go, big guy! We are so proud of you!

Kindergarten Carnival

Last Wednesday the kindergarten parents hosted a carnival for the students. (The teachers actually told us back in August that parents always host a carnival the last week of school...hint hint.) I volunteered to use the snow cone machine because I wanted to be the kids' favorite station. Haha! (And I wanted to be able to help myself to snow cones!) 

Caleb was so embarrassed that I was taking pictures...he pretended not to see me. 

There was a duck pond and a bounce house,

scooter races,

snow cones,

a fire truck,

water balloons,

face painting,

and a picnic lunch.

Little brother made an appearance too. Actually, he made himself known- jumping in the bounce house, getting his face painted, and running around with Caleb and his friends. 

According to Caleb, the carnival was a huge hit- even "better than field day!"
