1st Beach Trip

Even though Caleb was having a blast in the pool, I was so
excited to take him to the beach. These pictures are from our
first trip.

So happy walking with Daddy.

Running toward the water

He jumped right in! And if you've seen the news lately at all,
then you know that FL has had record low temperatures this
winter. The ocean was FREEZING, but it didn't bother this
beach baby!

Throwing handfuls of sand.

He was just trying to figure all the sand out.

Priceless. Marshma and Papa used to keep Caleb on
Wednesdays while I work, but they have been in FL since
the beginning of January. When they finally got to the
beach we told Caleb and he looked to find them. As soon
as he saw them he squealed and started running toward
them. It was one of the most precious things I have ever
seen.

Day One

After PeePaw picked us up from the airport, we headed straight to
the pool! We were so excited that Aunt Dana ("Nayna"), Uncle Steve,
and cousins Nathan and Garrett were there. To say that Caleb loves
swimming would be a total understatement. Words cannot describe
how much this boy loves the water.

Jumping off the edge was a favorite.

Snack time with monkey.

Caleb also shared his goldfish with his cousin Garrett!

More jumping, this time to Garrett.

PeePaw and Nathan used Caleb as a human football.

Caleb and Nathan became best buds, especially after
Nathan took him to play in the rocks.

Fly Southwest

I cannot go on enough about how much we liked Southwest. Not
only were our tickets really inexpensive, we were able to check
lots of luggage for free! And, since the flight wasn't full, our "lap
baby" got his own seat. We had an early morning direct flight
into Tampa, and were on the ground by 9:10am! It was very
uneventful!

Ready for takeoff

"This is how I roll!" Having Grandmom's portable DVD player
was awesome! Caleb did perfect the whole way.

As we got closer to the ground, Caleb had fun looking at
everything out the window. He also LOVED putting the
window shade up ("Upp") and down ("Nown"). Creed
estimates he did it at least 60 times.

Back to the Real World

After a wonderful and relaxing spring break down in Venice, Florida,
it's back to the real world now. I have about 1000 pictures to show,
so there will be a major picture overload these next few days. I just
couldn't help it though- Caleb was too cute!

Easter Sunday

After church Sunday, our first stop was my great Aunt & Uncle's
house. There are two other little ones around Caleb's age-
Caroline and Baylee, so it was so much fun to watch them play
and hunt eggs. We were just SO sad that Grandmom was still
sick and couldn't be there. But, we took lots of pictures so she
could see...

Our unsuccessful attempt at getting them to smile.

Cousin Brittany made homemade cupcakes- yum!

Hanging out with Baylee, Brittany's daughter.

Playing a little corn hole with Caroline.
Cooling off in the spray...definitely the hottest Easter that
I can remember!

Ready to hunt for some eggs!

Caleb quickly learned that eggs had sweet treats inside.
His new egg hunt strategy...
Step 1: Find the egg.
Step 2: Open the egg and get the candy.
Step 3: Drop the egg, but keep the candy.
Step 4: Have your family pick up your opened eggs from the
yard while enjoying the melted mini-Snickers.
*****
And...at this moment....my camera battery died. Tear. Sniff.
Sniff. So, no pictures from Creed's side. :( I've got to be
better with the battery charging!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We hope you had a wonderful day celebrating our
Risen King! We began the morning with a great service at church.
Grandma kept Caleb at her house (thanks Grandma!) because we
didn't want to take the chance of him getting sick from the nursery.
Then we had lunch and an egg hunt with my side of the family. Thank
goodness that Caleb slept about 40 min. in the car on the way!
After that we met Creed's family for another meal and another egg
hunt. Caleb is an old pro at egg hunts...more on that later!

Checking out his Easter basket.

Figuring out the Pez dispenser.

"From what I received I passed along to you as of first importance:
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was
buried, and that he was raised on the third day"

Fun with Barrett

Saturday afternoon Caleb and I went over to his buddy Barrett's
house for some egg dyeing fun! The boys dyed their eggs, then
had an egg hunt in the backyard.

Ready to find some eggs!

After Daddy got home, we loaded the boys up in the wagon
and walked to a new Mexican restaurant near our neighborhood.
It was such a nice evening, and we all had a great time!

This kid loves salsa!

This Face

I just can't get enough of it!

Making Use Of It

Since it was sunny and in the mid 80s, we decided to make use
of the zoo pass that Grandma Kathy got us for Christmas. Grandpa
Kevin was off work, so Caleb wanted him to go as well. Luckily we
got there right at 10am, because by noon, the zoo was...well a zoo!
Seriously, I have never seen it so busy. Both parking lots were full
and they were making people park in the grass! Still, we had a
great time and can't wait to go back!

Walking with Grandpa

This kid cracks me up. He wasn't interested in the giraffes even
the slightest bit. All he wanted was for us to let him go swimming
in the giraffe/duck/peacock pond. Yuck.

He LOVED the monkeys!

And we had to stop by the playground.

Up close and personal with the ostrich. I tried telling Caleb how
one time Grandpa hatched an ostrich egg and how Ziggy was
our pet ostrich for a while. When I told him that Ziggy used to
follow Jack around the yard, he started to doubt me. But I
promised it was true!

Thanks for going with us, Grandpa Kevin!

The UPS Man Came!

Dear PeePaw & Grandma Beth,

Thank you so much for the giant box of packing peanuts. They
were SO much fun to rip into shreds, then throw all over the floor.
Since they stuck to nearly everything, I also had so much fun
picking up the microscopic sized pieces off all of my plastic
toys. You guys are the best! Love, Caleb

P.S. I also liked my Easter basket.
