Neighborhood Bash

Saturday night our neighborhood had a fall festival two
houses down from ours. There were tons of kids, lots of
yummy food, a bouncie, plenty of riding toys (each kid
brought their own to share,) and a bonfire to stay warm.
It started about 5pm and we ended up staying for over 6
hours!!! (After Caleb went to bed we walked back
down with the monitor for some corn hole and adult
conversation.) We love our neighborhood and loved
getting to know all of the neighbors.

When we first got there, Caleb was a little shy and not
quite sure if he liked the bouncie.

But, after a yummy sugar cookie...

...he was ready for some fun!

Caleb and Brody had a corn hole tournament of their own!

One of our neighbors made this hayride and pulled it with
their lawn mower. It was too cute, and festive!

When it came time for the actual hayride, Caleb wasn't
amused. I had to pull him off after about 5 seconds!

Caleb loved riding Eli's four wheeler!

By 8pm, Caleb was exhausted and ready to crash!
I'm sure you can see why!

Grumpy Bear

Last Thursday evening Caleb and I met the Durst and
Whitworth families at the Zoo for the Halloween Party.
Sadly, Caleb was a real grumpy bear. He didn't want
to wear his costume and pouted most of the evening.
Oh well, I still had a great time!

Trying to pull his hat off

He looked cute, despite the attitude.

Running for the entrance and away from Mommy!

Madalyn, the precious bumble bee!

Jackson, the adorable elephant!

Alice was the highlight of his evening. He was sure to
blow her a kiss!

My attempts at trying to get a picture of him in
front of the sign.

#6

Recently Caleb's hair had become unmanageable, even with
Daddy's hair gel. While I've cut his hair the past 3 times, we
decided that it would be best to leave this hair cut to the
professionals.

He needed a fade... While the Lloyd Christmas look always
made me smile...

we were ready for a change!

Because Caleb is dramatic, fussy, defiant, etc. around me,
we decided it would be best for his Grandmom and Grandma
Tillie to take him today. Even Luke was there for pictures.

Holding "Puppy," his favorite stuffed animals from Grandma
Tillie's house.

Man, they are smart! That is sweet tea (decaffeinated!) in his
sippy cup. He'll sit still for that!

It really took four people...One lap to sit on, one to hold
the sucker, one to take the pictures, and of course, one
to cut the hair. :)

The new, and improved, Caleb!

Pumpkin Pickin'

Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather and met the
Durst family at Huber's farm to do a little pumpkin pickin'. The
second annual trip was a success- both families picked the
perfect pumpkins, and both Caleb and Madalyn had a great
afternoon. I'm sure it will be quite different next year when the
Dursts have their little boy with them as well!

My attempt at getting a shot of Caleb in front of the sign

Having fun on the tractor ride

Both were trying to figure it all out

Caleb liked playing the drums on the pumpkins.

Daddy found the perfect pumpkin!

A family picture that actually turned out!

Minty Fresh

I bought the child proof locks for our bathroom drawers months
ago. But, somehow we haven't gotten around to installing them.
It's on the to-do list. Maybe after Creed sees where all of his
dental floss is going, Calebproofing the bathroom will be higher
up on the list.

It was not me who told Caleb that it tasted yummy and
he should lick it.

Mmmm! Minty fresh!

Problem Solver

Caleb loves turning the lights off and on, and it's something
that we have let him do for a while. Usually it's while I am
holding him or carrying him in or out of a room. Today he
decided to take matters into his own hands...

My little problem solver!

While Mommy & Daddy Are Away...

Caleb will play!!

This past Friday, Creed & I dropped Caleb off at his Grandmom
and Grandpa Kevin's house and we headed over to Lexington
for a little getaway. We had dinner at our favorite restaurant
Friday night and got to go to the UK game on Saturday. (Thanks
again for the tickets, Grandma & Grandaddy!) It was a very fun
weekend, not just for us, but for Caleb as well. See for yourself!

Chocolate pudding! Mmmmm!!!

He even went to the park with his Grandmom. Here he is
cleaning off all the mulch from the steps. He is SO much
like his father!

Grandmom even climbed the rock wall with Caleb over and
over...Thanks for being such a sport, Mom!

Getting down and dirty!

He looks really sad, like he is missing his Mommy &
Daddy so much. ;)

Thanks Grandmom, Grandpa Kevin, and Uncle Luke for
keeping Caleb. We knew he was in good hands!

Like Daddy (& Grandaddy)

Caleb has learned how to climb in and out of his Daddy's
chair, and likes to be like Daddy. Actually he climbs in
and loves to slide off it. And, if you tell him to act like
Grandaddy, he closes his eyes for an instant and makes
a "shhhh" sound like he is sleeping. It's amazing what they
pick up!
