Moving On Up

The card came in the mail this past Thursday. It was the card
that I dreaded when Caleb was a baby, but I am used to them
now. It's the card that says, "I'm growing up," and explains that
Caleb will be moving up to the next room at the church nursery.
But, this card was different...Caleb is no longer in just the nursery.
He is in his class. There are tables for snack time (instead of
just high chairs), no more cribs for naps, and the most exciting
part is that each week he will do an art project!

Caleb wanted to show off his first art project. Apparently
they learned about God provides food for us to eat.

I'm guessing that those are Caleb's brown marks all over
the page and he had some help with coloring in the spoon.
Just a hunch, though.

So, while I used to dread the process of changing rooms,
today turned out to be great!

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do
not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to
such as these."

Future Van Gogh?

Lately we have been practicing using crayons, and Caleb
loves it! We used those beginner crayons, the ones with
the animal shaped plastic cones, for a while but now we
have moved on to real crayons!

My little artist

He seems to prefer the flat end of the crayon to the point.

A blue mouth. Blue teeth. (You can't see it but trust me...his
front teeth are blue.) A bite taken out of the blue crayon.
Hmmm...I wonder what that means?!!

Special Night

If you know Creed at all, then you know he works a lot of hours
at work. He loves his job, and is great at it, but we miss having
him at home most evenings. On those evenings that he is here
before Caleb's bedtime, Creed always takes over bath and
story time. I love watching my boys together. I can't help but
smile.

And, I'm reminded of this from last October...

Every Night

Every night I get to spend time with my precious (and wild)
child as he takes a bath and gets ready for bed. It's the same
routine every night, and I love it. He is always so happy,
clean, and thanks to Johnson & Johnson, smells like a
newborn (and not the sweaty toddler he has become!) :)

While I help Caleb brush his teeth in the bathroom, he likes
to finish while I get his lotion and pjs on.

There is always some tickle time...

On Your Mark...

Get Set...

Go!

He is finally there! It may have taken 13+ months to perfect,
but he is definitely a walking machine now!

Fun Zone (with Daddy!!)

Yesterday Caleb got to go to the Fun Zone at All About
Kids with his Mommy AND Daddy! It was such a special
treat to have his Daddy, and believe me, they had a blast!

Secure enough in his manhood to ride a pink motorcycle

Caleb refuses to smile for the camera now, and it usually
takes a miracle to get him to even look at the camera. That
is why I love this picture. You can see how much fun he is
having.

He always loves to play in the house

Look who we ran into...we were so happy that Madalyn
stayed and played after she finished her gymnastics
class.

Big Boy Shoes

Caleb got his first pair of big boy tennis shoes this week!
He has been wearing sandals and Crocs all summer, so
it took him a few minutes to get used to them. But, he
seems to walk great in them.

Thanks Aunt Sharon for my awesome new shoes!

Checking them out

So proud of his new shoes (A special thanks also to
Aunt Paige for bringing back this super cool t-shirt
from London!! You're the best!)

Doesn't he look like such a big boy?!!
On a side note...you may have noticed how wild Caleb's
hair is these days. I just don't know what to do with it! I've
cut it twice now with the clippers, and once last week
with scissors (which explains why he is beginning to look
more and more like Lloyd Christmas!) There is no way
that he would sit through a hair cut at the salon (sucker or
no sucker) and I just don't know what to do with it!! Any
suggestions? Oh, and no matter what, the left side
above his ear always sticks out. (I had to use Creed's gel
last week for his one year pictures.)

He's got the moves

I wonder who he got those stellar dances moves from?!!

Where's Pee Paw?

Here is your proof, Pee Paw! Told you he misses you!
