Lacey was the first one to break into an advent calendar on the 1st. Thanks to Grandma Beth, she got to enjoy a treat each day leading up to Christmas.
Creed caught a nice smallmouth, right in the cove by our house.
Grandmom took the boys to their annual Christmas play.
The week before Christmas was filled with lots of family Christmas celebrations!

When we got home on the 23rd, we were so excited because PeePaw, Grandma Beth, and Uncle Matt had arrived!
With Uncle Matt in town, there were lots of Nerf wars.
Christmas Eve at Marshma & Papa's
Caleb with his great-great grandmother! It's hard to believe that Nana is 98!
Christmas Morning
Christmas afternoon we headed down to the lake and enjoyed the unseasonably warm temperatures.
Lacey got a little too excited and followed Hallie Girl into the lake. She stayed on the shore the rest of the time.
Luke loves his new remote controlled boat.
Without leaves on the trees, we love our lake view.
Lacey LOVES her PeePaw!
We went back home for a couple of days and Luke got his gaming set up all put together. He is thrilled with how it all turned out.
Back at the lake we were excited to see drywall up in the boys' bonus room.

Happy New Year!
2021 flew by faster than any of us could have imagined. It was a year of exciting changes, fun trips, big birthdays, and lots of blessings, including our health!
Making the decision to homeschool at the end of January turned out to be the best decision for us, and one that has been affirmed repeatedly. Luke turned double digits in February and we spent an incredible week in sunny and hot Florida while the rest of the country dealt with snow and ice. We welcomed sweet baby Tilly in March, and Creed and I were able to sneak in another weekend trip to Florida. We spent spring break with PeePaw and Grandma Beth in High Point, and then tearfully said goodbye to Claytor Lake in April. The boys caught lots of fish in May on their (new to us) bass boat, and as the weather improved, we finally got the wake boat in the water. Caleb became a teenager in June and we moved from the cabin to our new lake house. We spent the month of July either on the lake or getting settled into the new house. In August we spent as much time on the water as we could and the boys started 5th and 8th grade at the lake house. September was warm and sunny, so we enjoyed our last month on the water. We got lucky and spent two sunny weekends in October in Florida and ended the month trick or treating with Tilly. November was a big month, as I turned 40 in Costa Rica and we celebrated 16 years marriage in Key West. We were thankful to be able to celebrate Christmas with family this year and very thankful for all of our blessings in 2021.
