While the month of April went down as the coldest April we have had, May turned around and went down as the warmest. Above-average May days meant the lake water warmed up quick, which was a nice surprise.

We had a blast at Rec Bar playing old video games.
Rainy days call for Monopoly at the cabin.
The first Sunday of May we drove down just past Knoxville to our cousin Zach's wedding. He and Sarah chose the most beautiful location on Douglas Lake with the Smokey Mountains in the background for the ceremony.
I loved having lunch with this one and his sweet friends.

Mother's Day Weekend
I had the best Mother's Day imaginable. We spent the day on the lake, the weather was PERFECT, and I was surrounded by my little loves.

We also got the patio furniture all put together. We just LOVE it!
When I found out that Nikki was going on a shopping trip with some neighbors for a weekend, I had the idea for Matt to bring the kids down to the cabin for the weekend. They were excited to check out the loft!
That Saturday there was rain and storms near Jamestown so we pulled the kids on the tube South to try and find some sunny skies.

It took a while, but we made it to Grider Hill Marina. The kids had ice cream and we decided to go a little further...

We made it to 76 Falls!!!
The kids swam over and went under the falls. It is so beautiful. We ended up heading back to the marina at this point, as it was almost 6pm, and the kids were getting hungry. Thankfully, we made the trip because we managed to stay dry and enjoy the beautiful weather at the other end of the lake.
The loft slept 5 kiddos that night!
The next morning the kids put on a church service for us. :)
And then we headed back out to the lake. The weather was perfect so we anchored up near an island and let the kids play and swim.
After taking the Dursts back to the marina so they could drive home, Caleb wanted to try to get up on one ski...he did it!
I had to zoom in...his expression was great! He was shocked!

Creed's family came down to the lake for Memorial Day weekend.

I asked the kids to grab a cart for all of our stuff and this is how they returned.

When we tied up with the houseboats, Claire was my buddy and took it all in from our raft.
After tubing, skiing, swimming, and going down the houseboat slide over and over, these two sleep really well in their loft.
Creed bought a 2018 coupon book and we just got it out to start using it. First stop...Sweet Savannah's followed by Family Video. (We LOVE Family Video for both movies and games.)
