A Last Minute Trip to the Beach!

While we had planned to drive back to Orlando and spend our last day at Hollywood Studios, we mentioned that the beach was only an hour and a half away and both boys wanted a beach day. So, after we had breakfast and checked out, that's where we headed!

Clearwater Beach

It was a beautiful day! The boys played in the sand, we swam in the warm ocean water, and just relaxed. We rented a cabana, which was nice since the sun was so intense! We hit up a grocery and got sandwiches for lunch and stopped at a CVS for beach toys.

It was the perfect (and sandy!) end to a fabulous and memorable trip!

Since we had to drive back to Orlando and wanted to avoid rush hour Tampa traffic, we had dinner at a restaurant on the beach and then walked around the fishing pier and docks, looking at boats. Seeing the dolphins was a highlight for sure!

Back in Orlando...the boys were asleep as soon as they hit their pillows! Our flight home was uneventful, and since Caleb wanted to go to school, he wore his uniform on the flight and was back in class by 11am!

I can't imagine a better family trip! So thankful for our sweet time together.

More Fun at LegoLand

The next morning we were all excited to get up and get moving!
The boys played in the lobby for a few minutes after breakfast.

Then it was on to the park!
Since we stayed at the hotel, we were able to enter the park 30 minutes early. While this would be beneficial on busy days, we had the park to ourselves most of the day as it was...a perk of going on the first Monday in May!

Luke rode his first real roller coaster and loved it. Because there we no lines, we were able to stay on and ride as many times as we wanted!

The Ninjago ride opened last month and the boys loved it too!

We LOVE amusement parks when we have the place to ourselves!

Skiing Lego minifigures!

The Chima ride was a big hit, too! Because everyone got soaked while riding it, Creed and I opted out and let the boys take a few rides. (We had to make them quit riding-ha!) Creed did make sure to squirt them when they came by!

Soaked and happy!

Back at the hotel, the Lego Movie is always playing, so Caleb cooled off and relaxed for a while.

We spent a few hours at the hotel pool that afternoon too.

The elevators at the Legoland hotel...oh my!
As soon as the door closes, disco lights start up and music starts playing. It's always a dance party!

The boys participated in a Lego building contest that evening

and played in the lobby for over three hours. They had a blast and were not ready to go up to the room, even though it was close to10pm!

Caleb made a friend from Argentina and they worked together to create this guy. They proudly displayed it on the shelves in the lobby.

We love the Legoland hotel!
