Last weekend was a busy, but fun, weekend around here.
We got up bright and early Saturday morning for our neighborhood's yard sale. Caleb was determined to have a lemonade stand, so I decided to sell a handful of their big, baby toys. We were both successful, and many people commented on Caleb's skills in sales. :)
They decided that Luke would hold the sign to attract the customers. (This lasted only an hour or so.)
Caleb worked the stand and did a great job. He was determined and stayed the course, working all four hours!
Saturday evening Creed and I had the opportunity to attend the night races at Churchill Downs (while the boys stayed with Grandmom and Grandpa.) He won a trip through his work, which included a Winner's Circle suite, prizes, betting money, food, drinks, and a night at The Seelbach. It was a fun evening, made even more exciting when American Pharoah made an appearance!
Our suite was right on the track so we had this view all evening.
Since Sunday was Caleb's birthday, he decided that he wanted to take cousin Ava to the lake. This was actually her first trip to a lake and she loved it. She had the biggest smile the entire time she was tubing!
While she tubed, Luke napped.
That evening, family came over to celebrate our 7 year old! His request- cookie cake!
I told him to show me "7" with his fingers and this is what he did. Ha!
We also celebrated Creed's birthday with a Graeter's black raspberry chip (YUM!) cake. He showed his 33. :)
Little brother did not enjoy the festivities and all the attention that Caleb was getting. He hid in his room while we sang Happy Birthday and pouted in the corner while Caleb opened gifts. (He is something else...)
Luke was trying really hard not to look like he liked Caleb's Star Wars card. Notice the hands still crossed. ;)
Caleb loves his Razor 360 and is getting good at riding it.
